There is so much more Heather Davis can do with the story and I would defiantly be excited to continue reading the series. I recommend reading this book.Show Less

I know that it is a fictional book, but isn't a good book one that makes you forget about the real world all around you? to me, it seems like Davis sat down to write a book, and about halfway through, lost interest. it doesn't help that right before i read this book, I was reading "Sun and Moon, Ice and Snow".Show Less

    Another good Werewolf book

Heather Davis's debut was not disappointing. I thought it was entertaining and fast paced. I would have liked some more relationship development between the main character Shelby and her love interest Austin but I still enjoyed the story.

Sixteen-year-old Shelby has had her fair share of boy troubles recently and it is her most recent tryst that has lead to her Father and step-monster totally overreacting and banishing her to a brat camp for the summer. Luckily she at least gets to select the camp but if she screws it up she will be sent to Red Canyon-aka boot camp from hell! So Shelby is off to the artsy Camp Crescent. The level of cheesiness is off the charts at this camp but Shelby starts to overlook that when Austin Bridges appears on the scene.

Austin is cute, charming, mysterious, and the son of a rock star..who could ask for more? Shelby soon starts to realize that Austin may be hiding a secret that she never dreamed possible. Even worse is that Shelby is the only person he trusts to help him keep his secret which means Shelby's history of getting into compromising situations is far from over.

Heather Davis delivered a great debut novel. Things don't wrap up as well as the reader usually expects but that just makes it more realistic (well as realistic as a werewolf book can be). I also think that a certain scratch could leave room for a second book which I would defiantly pick up but I have not heard if there is another one planed. If anyone knows, leave me a comment with details so I can add it to my to-read list. Happy reading!

    Good short book to read!

The book is short. The story could have expanded on the characters and on the story line. The moral of the story was beautiful. I believe it can keep the reader's attention. It is a fictional story; however, it has real world issues. It brings into light the struggles that parents and teens can have in their relationships. I feel like the story ended too soon. So, I hope there is a sequel so I can find out more about the relationships within the story.

    GET IT YOU WILL ENJOY!

One reviewer said if you hated twilight you would hate this book, well I hated twilight but I loved this book. Now with that said this book was easy and a quick read. If you want complex characters read another book but if you want a fun sweet often laugh or groan outloud then this is the book for you. I have enough bad bummer stuff I see on tv , read online or the paper. When I read a book I just want to exscape. No heavy drama . Get this book I think you will like it.

I hope there is a second!

Never Cry Werewolf by Heather Davis is about a teenage girl named Shelby who is the daughter of a millionaire and who's evil stepmother sends to brat camp. At Camp Crescent, Shelby meets the intriguing Austin, son of a rockstar, who tries to recruit Shelby to help him steal his medicine that helps to control the beast inside him and keeps him human. While trying to survive tortuous sing-a-longs, Shelby becomes torn between helping the boy she begins to love and staying out of trouble.
This book is an excellent addition to any library and is a book you can not put down. From a gossiping boy to ham-singing counselors, this book is an enjoyable read. I would recommend this book for Young Adults and highly suggest you read it.

    Easy, quick read.

If you've got a spare day or are just look for a quick way to escape the vampire hype but still stay on the mythological track, this werewolf romance gives you just the same ammount of entertainment.

It's an easy read. (it took be two hours worth of reading, on and off for me) There are much better books, but if you're jsut looking for a quick read that isn't Twilight this could be just the book. The characters are okay... you get a fair bit of background for them but somehow i still felt they were a tad-bit shallow. The plot is just what you would expect from any myth-romance, somewhat cliche but with a little bit of originality. The writing sytle is easy to understand which makes it ideal for younger kids (11-13?) which is why I blew through it so fast.

It wasn't bad, it was just fast and easy to read.

All in all, I'd give it a 3-3.5
