Inspirational and moving
No matter what side of the aisle you're on (and I happen to be a member of the opposing party), you can't help but be moved by Sen. Arlen Specter's memoir of his battle with stage IVB Hodgkin's disease. His tenacity, his courage and his work ethic are beyond admirable. I am currently fighting cancer for the third time and I salute him for a touching and personal account of both his career and his illness. Sen. Specter, I wish you the best of health.

strength and courage
arlen specter was hit with some of the toughest forms of cancer and his doctors gave him the worst news of all. the senator had a campaign to face and several major senate hearings to deal with and he could have dropped out of his run for office and decided not to be a senator anymore but he found ways not to give in to his fear. 'never give in' is a book that shows how you can deal with the the toughest of problems that life has to hand you.I found this book fasinating because not only does this senator show you first hand how to weather the worst of storms in your life but this bestseller is also a fasinating washington memoir.

Great Read
Senator Specter definitely revealed a side of himself that I don't think the public sees very often, if at all, in this book. It was very refreshing to read such a harrowing account of life and death from a proiment politician who can admit that at the end of the day, we're all human.
