I have read the entire series now and I must say that this was not one of the best. The story was a bit muddled compared with most of the others in the series. The likeable main characters that we came to know and love in the earlier books seem to take a back seat to Leigh and Cara's children. Now the kids are solving the mystery that Leigh can't quite figure out. This book was better edited than the earlier books in the series but there were still some errors. Overall, an enjoyable series.

    Great "cozy"

Edie Claire is an intelligent, thoughtful writer with a great sense of humor and a certain dramatic flair. The characters in her Leigh Koslow Mystery series (this is #8) interact believably; they are definitely three dimensional. The plot is peppered with red herrings here and there drawing this reader into a dead end or two. The book stands alone. If cozies are your cup of tea, you will probably want to read all her books. If you are looking for blood, gore and sex, this book is NOT for you. This reader would be surprised if you figured out whodunit before it is revealed. (This reader has no connection, family, friend or commercial, with the author.)

    Couldn't put it down!

Although cozy mysteries are usually pretty easy to figure out, this one kept me wondering until the end. Well written with easy to relate to characters. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I'm only sorry that I read the entire thing so quickly and now have to wait another whole year before the next installment in the series is released! Love and recommend all the books in this series!
