    Good book to have!

I like this book a lot. It gives you quite a bit of information about crewel work and has a number of different stitch patterns and project ideas. I think it is a great starter book if you are looking at getting into crewel work. Good book for your collection!

    Its awesome!

I didn't even know what crewel was, but boy did I learn. Ms. Shaughnessy makes it soo fun and easy to enjoy creweling (it that correct usage?). Her designs are real art, I love em. Lots of great photos. After reading this book, alls I want is more crewel. I guess you could say I'm a fwel for crewel. Seriously this book is a lot of fun.

    Not really crewel imho

While I appreciate the author's attempt at updating crewel, crewel is by definition a traditional style of needleworking. So, I don't really consider this crewel once it's taken out of its element. The photos are nice, the instructions clear- just not sure if I'm so wild about the designs.
