NOTE: more of an atlas than a photo book
Be aware that this is really more of an informative/historical atlas of NYC skyscrapers than it is a photo book (as I originally thought). Since it was shrink-wrapped I didn't realize this until I got it home. I was disappointed at first, but as I delved in, I began to really enjoy the facts that are provided about many of the buildings that I've admired during my many visits to the city. The text really helps you understand WHY many of the buildings are designed/built the way they are, as well as the stories & history behind them - they're more they mere steel/concrete & glass buildings. Many of the early structures have very interesting & storied beginnings, which only help you appreciate them even more. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Only negative I can say is I would like to have seen more photos of some of the buildings (the ones that are there are great however), but overall it's a really great, informative book and a must for any true NYC aficionado.
