Great presentation
The format of this book, with one exception, is great. It is suitable for use at home or during travel, basically anywhere. The hard cover opens like a regular book, and the individual daily crosswords flip up like a daily calendar, allowing the user to remove one sheet at a time after completion or to take along somewhere. The hard cover of the book provides a firm support for the puzzles, and the size of the book makes it easy to hold. The answers are printed on the back of each sheet. The crosswords are presented in order of increasing difficulty. They are stacked according to day of the week, from Monday through Saturday. The only drawback that I see is that all the Mondays are stacked together, then the Tuesdays, etc. I think it would have been much better to have stacked them by week--Monday, Tuesday, etc., followed by another Monday, Tuesday, etc. That way, anyone interested in just doing, say, the Saturday puzzles would not have to flip up most of the book to get to the Saturday puzzles. Other than that, it's a really good book.

LOVE this crossword book...format and content
I bought this crossword book to stick into my purse and keep with me. It's perfect....the "flip book" format is hard cover, and opens to form an easel to write on. No bending the book-spine trying to get the page to stay open to write in. Perfect for sitting on an airplane or in a Dr. office waiting room. Each puzzle is on it's own page with the solution on the back. Sort-of like a daily tear-off calendar. But big enough to read!

The difficulty of puzzles range from fairly easy "Monday" -level up to silly difficult "Saturday"-level. So if I'm feeling like a challenge I can choose one from the Saturday pages. If I'm just looking for quick diversion, I choose a "monday".
LOVE This...wish there were more crossword books in this format.... -

Very Portable
I keep my copy in the car and use it when I'm stopped for any great length of time. We travel by car extensively so when stopped at rest areas or hotels/motels or wherever it's right there to pick up. The puzzles are really less difficult than I thought they would be but are still stimulating.

Flip books are easy carry-alongs
I've bought several of Will Shortz Flip Books. They are easy to use, especially to tear out a few sheets to slip in my purse for those spare moments. The answers are on the reverse side so if you just HAVE to peek, you don't have to take the whole book and thumb through to the back to find the clue to the puzzle you are doing. I think they're great!

The perfect little book
I was given this book as a gift after I became obsessed with it at my in-laws house. It is so practical. Just rip out a puzzle and put it in your bag and take it with you on trains, car rides, boring lectures, anything. The only downside was resisting the temptation to flip over when stuck on a clue! But for those who have a lot of self-control or need to peak every once in a while this is fabulous and makes a wonderful gift!
