    Love these books!

I'm a big crossword fan and I've been buying these Will Short-edited New York Times puzzle books for years. It's a great way to get the puzzles and not have to buy the whole newspaper! The puzzles are challenging and entertaining. I like the spiral bound format as you can remove those you're lucky enough to have solved completely so the book doesn't get too bulky. There are always some "themed" puzzles included which I especially enjoy. And these books contain ONLY crosswords; no word searches, no weird games, etc. I would recommend these for any real puzzle enthusiast.

    puzzles OK but

One of the puzzles has the wrong grid (from 2 pages later) printed with the clues. Otherwise, they are enjoyable -- not noo easy, not too hard if you have some experience, not too much reliance on proper names from modern pop culture.
