Higgin's has done better....but still worth reading!

This is probably the least favorite book by Kristin Higgins.sadly. I still enjoyed it, and I am sure many people can relate to the main character after losing a spouse. I did feel bad for her and Higgins did a good job portraying her emotions throughout. I thought though that Higgins dragged the book out with having the main character go back and forth, back and forth. It was also kind of weird that she had a fling with her deceased husband's brother. But, like I said, I did enjoy it. I like Kristan's writing style. Her books are usually comical, romantic, and sad/heartfelt. I now think I have finished all of her books.can't wait for more!

Too many flashbacks

    The Next Best Thing

I have read a few Kristan Higgins novels, and have really enjoyed them up until this one. I cannot comment on the story, because I found the writing style of 1st person present so annoying I haven' t been able to read more than a few pages. I feel like I'm reading a book written by a 10 year old. I'll definitely be sampling before buying her novels in the future.

    DON'T waste your time....half a star

I love reading, and I love romance but this was an uncomfortable read for me. I felt it went on and on and on and on (kinda like that) she would just harp on the same thing over and over and I just couldn't take it anymore. Ever since 7th grade I finish reading a book I start....not this one. I finally gave up to save my sanity. DID NOT LIKE IT AT ALL
