Awesome.
I love this CD so much! It is an awesome, beautiful blend of music. This CD want's me to start taking up mandolin lessons! :) I have problems sleeping sometimes, and this CD has the only music that makes me fall asleep. Not that it's boring! No, this music just makes me feel safe and all-around comfortable. Awesome. Amazing.

Great Young Group
This is one the best new groups I've heard.Their talent is amazing. Not strictly bluegrass, nearly all their music is written by them. Wonderful sound.

Unbelievable Album!!
This album is beyond amazing. It really strikes a chord deep inside of you. Nickel Creek,(Chris Thile in particular), is fantastic. If you think you don't like bluegrass, don't worry. Nickel Creek manages to give their songs a bluegrass/country/pop fusion that will turn you into a bluegrass lover.

Enspiring and Exciting, Stole my Heart
I never heard of the band Nickel Creek until my youth minister played it on our drive down to KY. The bluegrass swept me away to the most wonderful world! The harmonies, the music and the passion in the lyrics absolutely stole my heart. I especially love When You Come Back Down, it has become my all-time-forever-favorite song. Kudos to the band, and everyone that helped making the cd that has made me fall in love with bluegrass.

An Awsome CD
This CD is a wonderful one! It has everything from love songs, to up beat fast tempo ones. They have a unique sound. Even if 'bluegrass' isn't your 'thing' you really should try this CD anyway. The type of songs they do, the way they do them, and the stories behind them are all reasons to get it. For me they rank right up there with Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, and all the great story/song tellers! If you like songs that have a meaning or a story behide them this one's for you! Great job Nickel Creek, can't wait for the next one!

This is the most incredible album I've ever bought...
This group is completely limitless in its beauty. There's a chemistry that comes from inside these guys that makes you want to laugh and cry at the same time. If you're not into really powerful music, profound lyrics, and vocals that sound like echoes from heavan, than go ahead and move on to the Winger section.

Your collection will never be without it....
This is truly one of the few albums that I've purchased in the last decade that I can put into the CD player and play first moment to last.... and then when it's over, push the shuffle and listen to all of the songs again. You will be amazed and taken with the first listen, but even better.... your favorites will shift the more times you play it through.

excellent album
I was watching CMT one day and ''Lighthouse's Tale'' came on. My first instinct was to turn the channel b/c I don't really care for bluegrass music, but something told me to listen to the song. By the time the song was over, I was in tears. The song is so beautiful and so heartwrenching! Thanks to Nickel Creek, I'm a converted Bluegrass fan! Thanks

Absolutely beautiful
This CD is lovely. It's country and it's not country. They have their own style that is traditional and not traditional. I guess they're too good for words. The Lighthouse song makes me cry. Don't be afraid to buy this one. You'll love it.

A Time of Desperation
I honestly feel that things are changing since the Sept. 11th attacks on America. The world is changing and this is having a positive effect on our music. Nickel Creek's sound brings a sense of peace to all who listen to them. They have definitely helped me relax and not worry about ''what's gonna happen next''!

If I could give it 6*, I would.
Nickel Creek is the most talented trio that has ever made music, in my opinion. They are the total package. They write most of their music, including my favorite ''The Lighthouse's Tale.'' They are unbelievable musicians as evidenced by their opening track, ''Ode to a Butterfly.'' Sean is an accomplished and award-winning guitar player; Chris is a virtuoso on the mandolin - easily one of the top 10 players in the world; Sara won several contests on violin. Top all of this off with their unbelievable voices, and you have more talent than any 5 bands that you wish to choose. It doesn't seem fair that a group is so talented! This is one CD that you will listen to over and over again and never tire of. If you are reading this and you have not bought this CD yet, BUY IT! Your ears will thank you later. I selfishly hope that they come out with more of the same. I will buy whatever they make!

Excellent CD
I first heard Nickel Creek perform on Prairie Home Companion. Sara Watkins is a great fiddler. Being a Tolkien fan I enjoyed seeing the ¿House of Tom Bombadil¿ track (which was a good track also). I am looking forward to buying the next CD.

What a work of art here!
If I had to pick one CD to take with me on a deserted island...this would be it. I love this CD. I can listen to it over and over. You can tell Alison Krauss (producer fantastico!) had her hand in it but truly, these three young musicians have a gift. And I thank them for sharing it with us. God has blessed them there is no doubt about it. Every song on this CD is wonderful in it's own right. The harmonies, the way they ''play'' with each other is sheer joy. It makes you giggle with delight at how good they are together and that you are getting to listen in. Alison Krauss says ''You Ain't seen nothin' yet from this group'' and that the next album is going to be even better. I can't wait to hear it.

Bluegrass just got better!
This young group from California shines! From their original, sweet ballads to their bluegrass instrumentals they show talent and devotion. I am not a bluegrass groupie but since I heard them on Prairie Home Companion, I knew I wanted to buy their CD. Go for the gold kids! San Diego is proud of you.

Awesome CD
This is a great CD to have even if your not a big bluegrass fan. Nickel Creek is very talented and keeps you interested even without lyrics on some songs. If you are looking for a CD to buy make it this one you won't be dissappointed!

The Perfect CD
I saw ''Nickel Creek'' open for Lyle Lovett last summer. They were more than up to the task of getting the audience motivated. This album confirms what I learned that evening--sublime voices and flawless instrumentals, combined with songs of great depth make for a CD that can't be listened to just once...or twice. I can't get enough of it!!
