Six Star Rating - Love it love it LOVE it...

I LOVED these books. I'm so happy to have stumbled upon this amazing series. It was so good that I finished all five books in a week. This last installment was my favorite of the five, though it was a close call since all the books are amazing. **Possible spoilers ahead** This last book is about Temple and Vivian. As mentioned in the previous novels, Temple is the considered as the leader of the Brotherhood of Blood, a group of warriors that was initially searching for the Holy Grail, but instead found and drank from Blood Grail which turned them into vampires. In this last installment all the brothers and their wives come together to help Temple stop the Order of the Silver Palm once and for all. This book contains the reunion of Saint and Marika, Marcus and his new lady friend (I'm so glad he found love, he's a feisty fellow) and best of all, the novel centers around the growing relationship between Temple and Vivian. Lots of twist, turns and tons of steamy sex (in the rain and in a hammock no less...WOW!!). The end of the book/series was fast paced and I was soooooo sad it had to end. I HIGHLY recommend this series.

    an exhilarating tale

In 1899 Europe, Temple the vampire knows he must kill his six foot plus jailer, but something prevents him from harming Vivian though she is aligned with his enemies the Order of the Silver Palm and their leader Rupert Villiers. Still he tastes her blood that he covets, which stuns him giving him hope. When he asks her what she is, she flees hurt that he reminded her she is a freak. She loved his bite and fears she will betray Rupert. Temple realizes she treats the evil Rupert like a loving father and realizes his evil foe set a trap for his four vampiric friends. When he escapes, Rupert sends Vivian to follow him explaining he will flee to Clare Island, Ireland. Her task is to make the vampire believe she is his so that Rupert can catch all five of them.

On Clare Island, Temple waits for Vivian as he knows she pursues him. They fight and she does extremely well until he finally pins her. They make love and he takes her blood though he does not trust Vivian. He also knows Rupert lost his fiancée to a vampire twenty years ago, but believes his enemy wants much more than vengeance. Vivian explains Rupert rescued her from a freak show that her father sold her to; she is torn between loyalty to Rupert and love for Temple.

The latest Brotherhood of the Blood historical romantic fantasy (see NIGHT OF THE HUNTRESS, TAKEN BY THE NIGHT and LET THE NIGHT BEGIN) is an exhilarating tale starring a fabulous unique heroine. The relationship between the lead couple is terrific as they are attracted to one another and fall in love, but distrust one another while the ending contains a terrific final twist. Although the villain is brilliant yet is unable to accept his ward has changed sides in spite of the evidence and the five vampires fail to implement an obvious strategy, saga fans will want to read Kathryn Smith¿s exciting ¿Night¿ tale.

Harriet Klausner

    Night After Night after Night

I loved this book. I could feel the bite on my neck. I have read many books and a wide selection of authors. Smith is a good write who makes you feel the scenes. I loved the story lines, history of characters, and pace in which the entire story moves. I could see her scenes in my mind like a movie and look forward to reading more of her work. I could not put the book down. I started with the first and continued thru the entire series with in 2wks I had them all read and looking for more like them.
I was eager to keep the story going.........

    Temple Personified

Out of all the Brotherhood of Blood I still think Saint is my favorite. Temple is just as fiery and sexy though. I loved the book and wonder if there could possibly be more but with the ending to this I doubt it. I also felt the ending was too quick but besides that I really enjoyed the book. I will check back to see if another book will be released of this series, if not then I give the entire series a A-... Minus for not continuing these sexy hotties and also for the ending of Temple Book.

    night after night review

i enjoyed this book and read it with eagerness to see how everything turned out. i couldn't have been more pleased with how kathryn smith delivered this book. all the characters were finally brought together and it was great to see how they all intereacted with eachother. And anyone who has already read these previous books couldn't wait to see the reunion of saint and merika! i don't want to give away the story, as no one likes being told all the juicy details of what happens in a book or movie they intend on reading. this book is worth the wait to read on your own without the spoilers coming from me. curl up with a nice blanket, cup of hot tea or coffee and endulge yourself for the next few hours reading this conclusion of 'the brotherhood of blood' series. you'll like temple and i'm sure you'll understand him as he was intended to be, a man, a lover, a fighter, a vampire, a leader.
