No Apology

I got an early edition. This is a really good book, reminds you of the stuff Reagan would have said. More people need to talk/write like this.

"Wrap Yourself in a Flag and Shirk All Responsibility"- the Sad Mantra of an Embittered Right-Wing Loser

There is absolutely nothing American about rejecting blame and presenting our country as a utopia because you're too lazy to admit that egregious mistakes were made- mistakes that have permanently damaged our international reputation. Subverting the importance of international relations (for purely selfish reasons) and passing the blame for deep-seated economical problems (created by the Bush regime) onto our current leaders seems to be a good way to curry favor (at least with bitter, ignorant people who would rather ruin this country than admit wrongdoing.) Romney never seemed to care much about the national debt when there was a republican in office, but of now that there's someone to pass the buck to, he can't seem to shut up about it- not that he actually bothers to suggest a viable solution at any point during his hopeless electioneering.  Last time i checked, we hadn't "liberated" anything, least of all Iraq, or dealt with the actual perpetrators of 911- what exactly were we supposed to be proud of? I generally dislike politicians, but at least our current leaders are willing to take responsibility and provide reasonable solutions, rather than passing the blame and patting themselves on the back for nothing, as this hack insists we should do. Romney and his kind owe the entire nation, and the rest of the world, a sincere apology- they're the ones who utterly shamed us. We can be truly proud of ourselves as a nation when we stop electing soulless, insipid mouthpieces like Romney to spoon-feed us phony patriotic garbage while robbing us of our dignity and our funds.

Great way to get to know Mitt Rommey. Gives you a good look at what he believes and why he believes it. Very insightful and interesting.
