Not what I thought it would be about!

I have an 18 month old son who is biting at daycare. I wanted to purchase a children's book about no biting. Reading the title, I thought that it would be about that, but only one page was devoted to biting. Overall, the book is ok and goes over in general a bunch of behaviors, but I thought that I was getting a book about biting!

Great book for babies and toddlers

I bought my daughter 'Where is Baby's Belly Button' and she loved it. When I saw this one on the shelf, I quickly snatched it up. Now when she spits or goes to bite, I usually show her the book and she doesn't feel like she's being lectured but actually realizes how naughty this is because it's in one of her favorite books.

    Perfect for a "terrible" two-year-old

I had found a copy of this book at a discount store and immediately snatched it up to read to our 30-month-old son. It's very short and simple: a lift-the-flap book that says things like "No spitting at your brother! Where can you spit?" And when you lift the flap, it shows a child brushing his teeth and says "When you brush your teeth!" This example follows through for hitting, screaming, pushing, and, of course, biting. At the end, it says "Can you remember? Yes, I can!" (We chime this like the theme from Bob the Builder.) Our son loves this book and it really helps us reinforce the lessons of "nice" behavior.
