As an avid Lindsey fan who is completely enamored with the Malory Clan, I was thoroughly disapointed with the book. Katie and Boyd are completely flat and written out of character for Lindsey's traditionally compelling heroine and hero. Where is Boyd's hot-temper and teasing personality that his been a part of other novels? While the twist was a nice addition, I was disapointed in the sudden change in Anthony's character by changing his past. The storyline insinuates that Katie's Mom was his long lost love that got away and shoved his love for Rosylnn into a dimming light. Another change from her previous work. I never felt like you truely got to know the main characters with all of the constant rehashing of every detail of the other Malory's lives.

    more from this reviewer

    I Also Recommend:

    Another Malory adventure

This tale touches on the Anderson side of the Malory family. Two Americans, with different goals, meet at the wrong time.
This story allows us to revisit the Malorys and Andersons. It was fun to see where they are now and how they support an heroic stranger.
This makes me want to go back to the beginning of the saga and start reading it, again.

    An ok book

Like the other reviews, I was looking forward to reading the newest Lindsey book but was disappointed. It was a quick read & I always enjoy the Mallorys & Andersons. I just wish she had developed the realtionship between Katie & Boyd better. I also felt there was no real plot line.

My Least Favorite of the Malory Family Series!

Most of the other books in this series, I read straight through and finished in one day. I had a harder time doing that with this book. For some reason the main characters just didn't draw me in. The book was worth reading just for the comic relief provided by James and Anthony Malory. James Malory is one of my favorite book characters of all time. I also can't wait till Judith Malory (Anthony's daughter) gets her own story once she grows up.

    Idea...

I am a huge Malory fan and I am hoping to see the novels of when Jack and Judy are of grown age and their fathers are trying to keep their suitors away.

Disappointment but Hopefully for Further Mallory family stories

I was so excited when I learned of this newest book in the Mallory Series & I couldn't wait to get my hands on it. It was my vacation book, so that I could read it slowly and savory every word! However when I started reading, I started to get lost & felt jerked around in the story line. It wasn't a smooth flowing read. I loved the characters but felt like they weren't developed as well as in Mrs. Lindsey's past Mallory books. Of course James and Anthony added wonderful comic relief & makes me want to go back and reread their stories. I am not sure if Mrs. Lindsey felt pressured into writing another book in the series so quickly, but I can see where there are more adventures awaiting the Mallory family, especially with Judith and Jack. Now that would be fun to see Mrs. Lindsey make James & Anthony squirm to see their little girls fall in love with rouges like their fathers.

    Disappointing

I really couldn't wait for this book, but if your looking for a romance novel this is not the book. It focuses more on the Malory family and not the relationship between Katey and Boyd. If you just want a catch up on the Malory family this is the book for you, otherwise don't waste you money.

    Good, but no umph

I thought there was just so much going on without enough explanations or character development. It whisked you from one thing to another without ever telling you how you really got there. It is a quick read, and entertaining.
