“I believe that accountability is the basis of all meaning

I love this book. This book should be required reading in high school. Mr. Silverstein cuts down to core of so many of today’s problems and the lack of accountability.
Case in point, on page 11, he tells the story of George Washington chopping down the cherry tree. George was asked, did you chop down the cherry tree and his response was, “I cannot tell a lie – it was I who chopped down the cherry tree!” Then Mr. Silverstein goes on to imagine a president asked the same thing today. He goes on to write a full page explanation that is fiction but not that far from the statements we hear every day from politicians.
Page 11 and Sam Silverstein already has a knock out.
He breaks the body of the book out into five sections, one for each accountabilities; Right Things, New Space, Process, Expectations, and Relationships. He gives lots of examples from business leaders he interview and also includes personal experiences. And at the end of each section he gives you ways to implement it into your life.
I encourage you to read this book and see it as a reference book to come back time and time again, I know I will be.
