I have been practicing Yoga for seven years on and off, and I still remember my first class (which led me to practice more "off" than "on") -- it seemed like everyone was in a club of which I was not a part. Everyone chanted and twisted into poses that I didn't even know if I would be able to do in my dreams...given the large group and sanskrit which was given with no english translation.....bahakasavwawawhat?!?. I remember thinking, "if someone just came over and explained it slowly to me, guiding me through in a language I understood and focusing on what *I* specifically should focus on, then I'm sure I could do this. And then I'll decide if sanskrit is the right path for me...I just need to know what I'm DOING! Truth be told, I was kind of a klutz back then. Fast-forward 7 years, and I now practice yoga weekly at Fowler's YAS Fitness. I wish I had had The No Om Zone back when I first started...it is clear, concise, humorous at times, ORGANIZED PERFECTLY (love this, seeing as I am crazy type-A), and great for beginners and seasoned yoga-holics alike. Fowler is a wealth of knowledge and truly makes yoga "Klutz-proof"...much appreciated, coming from a former klutz!
