Lacks substance and Story
The first Johansen book that completely left me puzzled as to how a good writer can come up up with an abysmal book that lacked substance and a story(and I've read most of her stuff). The book has no depth at all from start to finish. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

I thought this was one of her worst books yet and I'm an big fan. I felt as if I were being read to instead of actually reading the book. You didn't get a chance to warm up to the main character, Elena, because just when she was acting human and you were looking forward to seeing it unfold, 4 or more weeks go by. You're almost cheated out of the whole transition phase. Also, the storyline focused to much on her and Galen, you also get cheated out on how the other characters she introduces are handling the situation themselves. The child Barry was used as a prop in two ways, one by the character of his father and another by the writer. She only puts him in to fill a gap when we all know that children are in our lives 24/7.Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
