A Lovely Pictorial
I love Tony Bourdain. I have read all of his books since Kitchen Confidential. There are many things I loved about his latest endeavor. The pictures were stunning. For this alone, the book deserves an A. It had something to say about all the shows he did in the last 3 seasons, no small task. It humbly did not mention that the show about Beirut was nominated for an Emmy. It did show Tony's favorite meal of all time, the coconut water basted roast pig from Bali. There were things I did not like. The first was spelled out in the introduction: This is mostly a book of photos. Nowhere in the descriptions of this book was this ever mentioned. For this, I would give the book a C. It does not highlight Tony's exceptional skill as a writer. By including all the shows, the description of destinations were very short. I wanted more, even though the book would have been too long had they done as I wished. Overall, I give this book a B-. For his witty writing, I will have to be satisfied with reading his blogs from Top Chef on the Bravo TV website.

In a word: Disappointing
I read Bourdain for his `in your face¿ humor and poignant insight. Although this book did have all the Bourdainisms I love so much, it was incredibly short on prose. I wanted to read Bourdain, not see him.

love him
Anthony is the perfect man, sense of humour, style, drinks, smokes, travels and adores sex and especially life. I am a private chef in Cabo san Lucas, I wish he would come to Cabo and teach me a thing or two! di4cabo

My uncle's favorite show!
I bought this as a gift for my uncle and he absolutely loved the book as well as the show. With the book, he can turn to it instead of waiting for an episode to come on the air. It should have been given 5 starts but I gave it 4 because it leaves you wanting more.

He is not Cousin Rick Black!
First and foremost I am an outdoorsman and that is one reason why I like Toney and his show. But this is a cookbook now correct? With that said, if you are looking for a wild type of cooking this book is NOT what you think it is. I say stick with Cousin Rick Black. I really can't think of better cookbooks on wild game and Beef, pork, and chicken.
