Great read. Very suspenseful. The characters were likeable even

Great read. Very suspenseful. The characters were likeable even though very brutal at times.Who knew hit men had a conscience? But L.T. actually makes us care for them. And that makes us keep reading. I will now be buying season 2.

I'd hate to meet him even to ring his groceries at a store -- I'd probably end up dead

There are way too many of everything -- His girlfriend is kidnapped three times; every woman he speaks to and/or spends the night with is killed; every slightly-bad guy and every very bad guy (and there are lots of them) are killed. I gave up after the first 700 pages ...

I gave up after the first 700 pages on my Nook; this book was going nowhere violently.

    What a waste of time

One murder after another and skipping pages did not help. I didn't think it would ever end.

D from C - novel kind of schizophrenic; well, character too!

But there is enough to keep one interested, + vested in outcome of story. Will probably at least take a look @ authors other work.

    Lots of Action

If you like a book where the hero beats the crap out of all the bad guys that he encounters, this is the one for you. Jack works for a boss referred to as the old man. Besides his assignments, he also does what he can to right wrongs. One would think that a person like this would get really beaten up, too. Before you get to the end, you may decide that he isn't going to make it, but this is subtitled Season One, so guess what? Having read this, I don't know that the author would have much more to show me.

    To hard to read

Almost every word is a aussie or british slang of words. Gave up after three chapters.

    Too slow

The story line would be good if not darn slow! A lot of killing and showing just how "bad ass" the main character is but to the point of being "too much!"
    I'm really dissapointed!

    W

There was too much of everything. The short version of the story was very good and the writing itself was good, easy to follow and exciting. However, the violence and murders were too much. The stopping point was about halfway through the book.
