Great ...for the most part

This book started off slow but was amazing until the end. The author wrote a not so happy ending romance type book which some people love but i would have liked to have seen an epilogue or different ending

Didnt end how i thought it would end. If you are looking for a happy ending than dont read this book. I think this book was okay, but different. I probably wont read anything else from this author. Something else should have happened. Like they should have either found someone else or they should have found that they couldnt live without one another. I think if she wouldve changed how it ended than i would have liked this book more. That is how i think this book was.

    Not a good book

Story idea was good. Character's poorly developed. Horrible ending.

    Yuck

This book is just not good. The writing style is that of a college aged girl keeping a journal (both in skill level and interest). The main character has a teen son, but the writing and maturity level is more in the 20’s range. There is no plot nor any character development. The character interactions seems stilted and not realistic. Long detail on conversations that just were not interesting, witty or progressive to move any plot line forward. I did not buy into the “attraction” because there just did not seem to be any. The book is one long descriptive of the main characters thoughts and conversations (regardless of how mundane). A couple really baffling parts were when the main character went to visit the boyfriend for a weekend. It was her first visit to where he lived and they barely spent any time together. For example, the first night she excused herself after dinner, went to her guest house, fell asleep at 6pm, woke up the next morning at 5am to read, work out and hang out with the maid. So basically, she flew across the country to visit the guy she is dating and they spent virtually no time together nor had any desire to seek him out. Very odd. I kept thinking why is the author describing the house, the maid, breakfast, the main character spending time alone in such detail. Honestly, most of the book is just the main characters day to day activities. Is this supposed to be a love story? Woman empowerment? It is mostly the day to day dealings of a really boring and tired single mom with very little personality, fewer friends, and some odd self esteem (sometimes really high and other times equivalent to a 13 year old girl with braces and a face of zits). Then there was a conversation the main character had with her boyfriend’s teenage daughter where she talked in urban slang when describing how some boys were bad, but even the good ones might be mean if they were “hanging out with their crew” when a girl approached them. WHAT?? Bizarre stuff. I am not a writer. In fact, I am a very boring accountant, but this review is more mature and thought provoking than this weird novel.
