However nowhere in the description does it explain that the book is not translated. I wish i could give it a five star rating but if you want to read you hould be able to read tagalog.

Impressive

This novel really captivates how the people were treated that time. I think this book is really reflected during the author's time. He had a very detailed plot with stunning dialogue. This book would have so many dangerous content if you lived during the author's time. Learn about him!! His name is Jose Rizal, a martyr of the Philippines. Three stars and a sun! Woohoo!

I have this in my library

I first started reading this novel when I was in grade 4. Due to a strong typhoon, we had no school for 2 days and had a long weekend. I had nothing to do, and with no electricity, I was forced to read this to keep myself occupied. I was not aware that it would be the start of my book reading hobby, but most important, my love of Philippine history. I was so touched of the fate of Crispin and Basilio, and embarrassed by the ineptness, ignorance and arrogance, and the complacency of the Filipinos as depicted in the story. If you want to know a Filipino, read this book. Sad to say, it is still so true today.

the best..

this is the best book of our times... though it is required and very hard to study in high school years ( i bet, every young Filipino will agree), you'll never regret in the end...
