* Nook Tips For New (and old ) RP'ers *

New to roleplaying? No problem! Just read this guide and before you know it, you'll know everything there is to know about RP'ing, as well as some Secrets & Tips!

    *Terms*
A 'Result' or 'res' is a term for a book. When someone says, 'go to *dan* result 2', for example, it means you look up 'dan' and then click on the 2nd result or book. Check to make sure your Shop is set so it shows the titles and not book pictures in rows.

When you're Locked Out, it means you can't post on that certain book because you have typed something that is considered bad or innappropriate. Put < _ > (without spaces) somewhere between the letters of a curse or swear word to avoid getting locked out. (Example: fu<_>ck) But there's no need to swear too much!

A Newb or Noob is a new RP'er that is very new and/or uses "text talk" and bad grammar and spelling. Don't be a Newb! Few people will like you or pay attention to you, except maybe other newbs or 'desperates.' (For example: "hi im ashley can i join this clan", or "u r 2 nice")

Nook Sex is nasty stuff. There are many Stop Nook Sex chatrooms out there to get rid of it, but most of us just ignore it. Ignore it too, unless, I guess, it's your 'thing.' v.v

Godmodding is where people do things that are unfair, usuallly doing a fight or battle or something involving death. Powers are okay, but you have to play fair. Let the other person decide how they want to react. LUNGE at them, hoping to get to the point of injuring them, but never make a 'single-post kill', because that is Not Fair. For example, here is an interaction between a godmodder and a non-godmodder.
NON-GODMODDER: *He twists away, recieving a slight gash on his arm, making him wince. He lunges towards his attacker's side, his eyes fierce.*

GODMODDER: *He moves away, not getting hit and turning on his protection powers. He plunges his sword into Dave's side, running away and leaving the sword in.*

*#* How To Act "Normal" In RP *#*

Don't address your posts 'to all' unless you have something really, really important to say. It makes you look haughty if you do, especially if you just want everybody to know you're walking into a room.

You can make your actions look like this -
*she sighed and sat down*
Or...this -
"Siiigh." She sat down.

Use capital letters when needed, and. Do. Not. Text. Talk!

< br > without spaces makes a break in the line,
Like
This.

< p > Without spaces makes longer spaces.
Like

    This.

Erin Hunter books are the 'advertisement books'. Those are where ads belong.

Make a cute signature. Here are some ideas... (Let's say your name is Meghan)
:*-*- Meghan -*-*:
[}{] Meghan [}{]
M e g h &alpha n

Be fun! Have fun! Be loyal to your Clan!

Want more tips? Got more tips? Post 'em here! Thanksies!

    Tips

Listen to old RPers. They have reason to say and do things because they've RPed for a long time.

An Original is someone who has been around RP for a long time, like since 2008 or so. That is a true original.

If you want to quit a clan or RP, my suggestion is NOT to post a long, sappy post about leaving and saying goodbye. They just make others angry.

Choose a good Roleplay. A clan, or human RP is suggested.

Symbols! If you want to learn how to make cool symbols like &#40678 or others like that, there is a good symbol guide at 'king of symbols' results 1-3 and a greek symbol guide at 'greek symbols' result one.

Have good grammar. THIS IS A MUST. Most will ignore you or flat out not understand what you are saying. Like: go 2 iour bok at the rez. Luv ya, az. No one will get what you are saying.

    Have fun RPing!
