Around 1986, guitar fans became a bit curious when they heard about someone who had been giving lessons to Steve Vai ( at the time, Vai was best known for being a member of David Lee Roth´s band). This "someone" was Joe Satriani, and after listening to this record, many guitarists realized he was the best they´ve heard since Van Halen´s "Spanish Fly". This album feels very spontaneous and you can hear Satriani really having fun while recording it. There are no fillers to be heard, and he certainly demonstrates that instrumental music can be really tasteful. A great album. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
