Not a favorite
I kept turning the pages because I hoped I would find something interesting about this book, but it just wasn't for me. It is very contemporary with nice descriptions of activities the reader can relate to. I just didn't find the characters or story that engaging. It is a relatively quick read that might be fun to take to the beach. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

Seven hours of my life spent in hopeful (please get better...oh I hope this is going somewhere) angst, which I cannot get back.
The book was boring, glaringly inaccurate at times (maybe in Brooklyn or Kiev rotary dial phones were the rule rather than the exception way back in 1987) and left this reader feeling like reading Craigslist ads for 7 hours would have been a better, more enlightening, use of my time.
Note to self...never purchase a book without reading a sample first. UGH!
Why 2 stars? Because I value the bravery of the author for her attempt at spotlighting the internet for what it is at its worst, and for the brave publisher that apparently saw something I must have missed when agreeing to bring this book to life.
