Even though the book was graphic, used vile language, and was not a good read for someone younger of age, I still think that any young adult should read the very personal lives of Sophie, Julia, Courtney, and Lindsey. If you think that it is awful to read, you must be either someone over the age of 30 trying to 'protect' your daughter from reading such vile nonsense, or you are someone under the age of 12 who should not be reading this book.

    Very True

Although at times the book seemed to be pointless because it was just two and a half years of the girls lives, the book is true. First, for anyone offended by the book, this is what is happening with teenagers today. Ramble off any statistics you like about how teens don't do these things but welcome to the real word, these statistics are false. A great majority of teens do drink, they do smoke and do other drugs, and they do have sex. Even the most involved parents can be fooled by their children. The girls in this book clearly grew by the end of the book, and look at the colleges they went to. Maybe their life experience was better for them since in the end they were alright. This book tells the tale of the current generation which is why so many adults find it to be horrible (they do not live in the generation).

    Not great...but good

I go to Stuyvesant, and it was interesting to read these people's lives. However, the book had too much cursing and perverse thoughts. The authors could have tried to keep the book a little cleaner language-wise.

    Nice book but....

It could really lose the vulgar language plus I know this is a book by teenagers which makes me wonder why they could have omitted the swear words instead fo keeping them in the book. There also was mentions of insults to each teen that has me wonder if the teens have self issues when they wrote the book.
