I expected better from a writer like Matheson.
The problem I had with this book was that the magic tricks were poorly written, nothing too shocking at all, and the ending was to say the least, just poor judgement. Yes, each chapter keeps you guessing, but if it's well crafted writing you want, on top of it, this book doesn't do it. I can't give away the ending, but I will say that the choice Matheson makes concerning the Cassandra character and her brother, was to shock the reader, bearing no real creed to the story line. Was this review helpful?
