Excellent Resource for an Excellent Operating System
This is really the definitive guide for writing pretty much anything using the OS/2 Presentation Manager. It is clear, concise, and gets you up and running in no time. Most programmers learn better by example than through reading reference manuals, and Petzold really shines here. There are a total of 99 example applications developed throughout the course of the book, none of which are really useful in their own right, but all of which display some useful feature of the PM. Although OS/2 has kind of fallen out of favor, if you want to do programming with it, this is the book you want. No, this is the book you NEED.Was this review helpful?
