2nd book I've read in the series. I got Hidden Currents for free from a pile at the dentist. Oceans of Fire was not great. The other sisters seem to have much greater gifts than the one featured here. The title barely makes sense. It seems like a good launching novel for the rest of the series, introducing many future relationships, however the romance presented here is based on sexual attraction and little else. The barrier to the love is difficult to piece together and even at the end, I am still left unsure what really happened in Russia 5 years ago. It is unappealing in a romance novel to have the idea of a "child killer" brought up. I want to read for romance and maybe a little suspense, but that is a very dark topic shadowing over this novel. I won't be reading the rest of the series as it seems there is a dark theme in each book.

    Oceans of Fire?

This strays from the usual quality of stories that I have enjoyed in the pass. Witch craft element was great, but the hero was a little off. I exspected more interplay with the dolphines. Oceans of Fire was a disappointment. Ms Feehan should finish out the Dark Series. There is still stories to be told and we await the next instalement.

    Oceans of Fire

After years of wandering, Abby Drake has found her way home. Like her sisters, she is gifted with powers that can be both a torment and a blessing; hers give her a special relationship with all things of the sea, especially dolphins. Yet, her angst over her powers is at least one of the things that kept her from finding her true love with Sasha, the dangerous Russian agent she loved and lost four years ago. Now, Sasha has come back into her life and he needs help that only her powers can provide. Is this a second chance for them or will his mission take a deadly turn that ends all their hopes? ............. *** Though not as strong a series as the early Dark books, it's hard not to like a book with dolphins in it. Abby's emotional turmoil is very understandable, seeing how her gifts have set her apart from the majority of the world. Supporting characters provide comic relief and quirks that lighten the seriousness of the overall plot. ***

    A good read

This book was ok, I like her Carpathian and Game Series better. Although the Drake sisters are interesting I found it a little overwhelming to have them all in one book at the same time. The male lead in this book was better I felt then the ones in the previous books of this series, but still fell short to the larger than life male characters of Feehan's other books. Overall it was an interesting read that could have used a little more magic.

Feehan has lost some of her magic

Not the best of Feehans work. The dialogue seems forced and the plot rather overdramatic. I could never connect with the main characters as I did in Mind Game. Too many secondary characters who add very little to the story. The writing just seemed ordinary. I actually had to make myself finish this book, which is not usual.
