For 99 cents, I was expecting a short story. I was wrong. It was a full length novel at 620 pages. I really liked this book. What a way to start a career. At the end of the book, the author tells us that one of the chapters was deleted, due to editorial decisions, and that if interested,he would email the omitted chapter. So, I did, and learned a lttle more about the main characters life.
As I said, I really enjoyed this book.

I really hate to give a bad review to a new Author, and up front I'd like to say I do not care for books written in 1st person and that may be why I did not care for this book. I stopped reading it around page 158 just because I could not get into it. I for one could not bond with the characters which to me is of extreme importance in enjoying and getting lost in a novel. I love it when as I approach the end of a book feeling a little sad because I know I am going to miss the people in the book until my next good read. This book just did not have that. I also was not interested in the meat packing businesses and their problems...the whole book to me was a let down. Since the popularity of e-books I have been reading many new authors, 1st time books and going back and getting their 2cd novels and even 3rd if they have one out and am on the look out for them always when I go to buy new books. I was really sad that I did not care for this one but it just was not be my style of reading even though I am a big Patterson, King and Koontz fan and have read all their books...one reason I am hunting for good new talent. On the other hand, my hubby who he and I read together out loud taking turns at night before we go to sleep did seem to like the book a tad more than I did but when I said I really do not care to finish this one he did not protest in starting a new book w/this one unfinished which is a extreme rarity for me to start a book and not finish it. Very Sorry Mr. Lieberman, I will look for another book from you and if the reviews from everyday people like my myself look good I may even buy it and give it a 2cd chance .

Took awhile, but worth the time.

It took awhile for me to get into the book, but once I did it was pretty good. It could have been alot shorter. James Patterson gave it alot higher recommendation then I do!

    Boring

After 15 chapters I just could not get into the book. Maybe it was because it was written in 1st person or maybe it was just that boring. I would not waste your time.

I found the subject matter boring: how to make money illegally,

I found the subject matter boring: how to make money illegally, use and abuse family and relationships with friends, and generally promote a "how-to" for everything undesirable. Didn't finish the last 100 pages, just too uninteresting with an overdone and unconvincing plot.

    Difficult to get into.

I did read the book in its entirety but came close multiple times to just quitting. Was slow and difficult for me to get into, and the one thing I disliked was the profanity. It is hard to read a book where the f bomb is dropped multiple times on every page.
