Still relevent today.

While a harder read for kids, The Odyssey is still a much-needed read in schools today. Not only can students focus on the surface area motifs of home and heroes, but they can also be pushed deeper into analyizing what real life issues the "monsters" in the story represent. This story has been around for thousands of years, and rightfully so!

Time Has Not Been Good to This Book

First off let me just say that I like this book. I understand it is one of the greatest books ever written and rightfully so. It is filled with magic, adventure, and epic storytelling. So saying that the book has not really aged well. I am sorry but I have to speak for the modern readers of this story and say that this book will probably bore you. The language although beautiful is incredibly hard to understand. You have to reaf very carefully to undetstand what is going on. And sure maybe if I were living back in those days I would give it a good review, but were not living back in those days. Were living in today and unless your a history major your going to have a jard time understsnding this book. So if your looking for entertainment you might want to pick up another book but if your looking for a history lesson this is the book for you.

    I didn't like this book,

I found this book extremely drawn out, pointless, and confusing. I love English class, and I love reading, but this book definitely tried my patience.
