Buy the bundle which this is book 3 of 4. So far, Book 1 has been my favorite, then this one (book 3), and book 2 next. I have to read book 4 yet. I loved how this story starts out, with Seana as a 11 year old, and how boys bullied her and how this has effected her into adult hood. I won't go into the premise of the story, as others have done it, but this is a romance that builds slowly. Has lovemaking after marriage, which isn't vulgar, nor very descriptive, but warm and endearing. Many little stories within this novel, and as others have stated, so some of our favorites make an appearance in this story. You'll start out not caring for Colin, but he does have a change of conscience and becomes a man deserving of our h. Please read these stories in order, as it will be more fulfilling. (ljb)

    Great story

I almost did not buy this because of the two reviews below, and i am so glad i did. It is a good love story, and this time the author did a great job of character development. I also did not find repetition like the one review said.

This book in the series is better by far then the second book. I still think the first book was the best, but this is a close second.

I shall now read the fourth and final book.

    As good as it gets

Ms. Crosby delivers! I absolutely loved this book. I wont tell anyone anything because it's worth reading, over and over again. This story will personally touch everyone on all levels, and I know that I have had my share of tears wrought from this novel. The story was very well told, a clean and straight-forward love story without much drama and conflicting characters. This one is a great reading.

    more from this reviewer

Colin Mac Brodie broke Seana's heart when they were but children

Colin Mac Brodie broke Seana's heart when they were but children. He shunned her because of her weak leg and threw a rock at her. Colin, because of issues he had with his father, finds himself very uncomfortable around anyone that's anything less than perfection. Years later, she approaches Colin to ask for his aid in helping her woo Broc, Colin's best friend. He doesn't recognize her at all. He just knows this woman he is so attracted to, doesn't seem to want to give him the time of day outside of the help she needs. He's finding himself struggling between wanting her for himself and wanting to do what's right for her. All his life he's been selfish and through her strength, courage, and love he's finding himself wanting to give unconditionally.

There is another story going on involving Broc's cousin, Cameron, and Cameron's little sister, Constance. My heart was breaking by chapter 12. There is a kidnapping, deceit, two losses that tore at my heart, touches of magic that I believe truly exist in Scotland, laughter, and hearts that open to love. I enjoyed the fact that characters I came to love from the previous books in this series play major rolls in this story. Tanya weaves tales that will leave your heart full and a smile upon your face.
