A Must For Anyone Who May Be Involved In A Fight

Three years ago, I was involved in a situation where I needed to draw my pistol to protect me and my family. Afterwards, I was shaking like a leaf, my body reacting during the whole situation in ways that frankly scared the hell out of me. I talked to combat vets about what had happened, and openly wondered if I was cut out for carrying a weapon. They universally recommended this book. I'm glad they did.

Dr. Grossman describes not only what can happen physically during combat, but also why. His words provide physical reasons for reaction often considered a sign of cowardice or at the least fear, and removes the stigma of these reactions. Further, he outlines ways in which one can work to remove these reactions.

The one negative I have, and the primary reason this book is listed as 4 star instead of 5, is Dr. Grossman's positions regarding violent video games. I totally disagree with him on this issue, but it is for each person to decide for themselves.
