Good for the Believer, not the Cynic

I had read one other book about "near-death" experiences and wanted to try another. Elisabeth Kubler-Ross is practically THE go-to person on this subject so I wanted to read one of her books.

Since this book was written well into her career, it's written from the stand point that all she says is FACT. She doesn't waste any time giving reasons why she believes it is fact or trying to prove it's authenticity. But again, at this stage in her career, SHE was already certain that these things were absolutely true so it makes sense she would write as such.

That withstanding, there are some very interesting stories and it's an easy read.

Just a note: One of the four parts of the book talks specifically about losing one's parents. She speaks mainly to the child or young adult in this chapter, not the middle-aged who has lost his parent at a "normal" age. Just thought I'd mention that since I wasn't aware of that bit before I bought it.

    Great book

This was a short, but great book. I found it very helpful as a bereaved mother of a young child. It was very comforting to me. I will definitely be reading more of Elizabeth's books.
