This was the first MHC book I have read...

and it wasn't bad. I found it a little short with not as much detail as I'm use to, but all in all it was a good read. It had a slow start but picked up and kept me turning the pages till the very end. I usually figure out these whodunit's, but I didn't see this ending coming!

    Kinda predictable

This was my first and last Mary Higgins Clark novel. A friend recommended this book to me, and I borrowed it from her and read it. i almost quit after the first few chapters, but I managed to bear with it. I had the killer figured out pretty early in the book, and thought the end was not at all suspenseful. I also didn't like how there was barely any characterization. I didn't care what happened to Emily because I didn't get to know her. I found this book to be boring and predictable and will never bother reading anything she writes again. My friend who gave me the book said she figured the end out quick too, and after reading one more of these novels,my friend also decided not to read anymore.
