By far the best book out of the series

I am sad to see the series at an end, but what a way to go! This book ends the series on a suberb note. It is the most romantic book of the series. I highly recommend reading it. It starts out a little slow, but it really gains momentum in the middle.

    Don't waist your money!

If you already red the others books in this serie, don't WAIS your money in this one. The entire book was a joke! If you like just a comedy in a book, this is ok then. It's more a comedy than a romance.

    A good read.

It wasn't all that, and this is probably the second Bridgerton book I read. I haven't been reading them in order but overall, this book was okay. The only reason that made me impatient was the drama in it. It's one of those book with a antagonist that's really annoying. I recommend it though, especially if you're hoping to read all of the Bridgerton's.

Not one of the better ones in the series

I have read all the books in the Bridgerton series and loved them. However the last two books were disappointing. Gregory was very immature and not likeable. He was annoying, so it was difficult to finish this book as it got worse towards the end. My quess is that Ms Quinn became bored with the series but felt compelled to finish it. I have not read any of her other books besides the this series and will take a break from her for now.

    Wow, what a story!

Love the Bridgertons. Read the series in sequence. A few novels lacked imagination and I thought this would be the same. I was wrong! Gregory, poor man, even I felt embarrassed for this characters emotions. There's not that much love to cause one to lose their sensibilities. Gregory at the age of six and twenty has been floundering for the past few years. Now, being confronted by Anthony, his eldest brother about his future has a choice to make: the military or clergy. Or, he could marry. Marriage...why not? He believed in true love, considering all of his siblings were happily besotted. It would only be a matter of time before he would find the woman of his dreams. But he had no ideas about this woman only that he would know. He would know because it would be an instant earth shattering event. The only problem, he believed it would be an instant earth shattering event for her as well. And that's where our story begins. I graded this book a four: some areas of dialogue were tediously boring (absent in substance) and more time spent developing the relationship between Gregory and Lucy.
****Although each historical novel is wrtten as a stand alone. Reading them in succession allowed me the experience of JQ's writing style; particularly of a family. These lighthearted characters growing from babes in arms to loving adults. Recommend if you like titillating humorous, page turning, plots. Most thrilling are novels one and two from the series besides they anchor the family's foundation.

Hope Colin and his wife resurface in the upcoming Smythe-Smith Quartet novel.

    Read This One First

This one was okay....a little impractical and the ending was contrived but I liked the characters. This was the first Bridgerton book I read.

    The Most Romantic Bridgerton Sibling

Loved it! Great way to end a wonderful family series, Ms. Quinn! Gregory is totally believable as a mature man in his mid-twenties, which has to be a challenge considering we remember him as a boy from earlier Bridgerton novels. He has a different outlook on life and love than his siblings before him, which keeps this 8th and final book refreshing and entertaining.
I recommend the entire series, but I enjoyed books 1,2,and 8 the most.

    Disappointing so far

I've been reading the Bridgerton series obsessively for about 5 days now, and I'm finding much about this last one that is very...put-downable. Book 7 was so good, and I loved the clever chapter intros, and I loved book 6 the best, which was actually the book I read first. So far, this one keeps having moments that stop my ability to suspend reality, like egg salad sandwiches for example, which may very well have been invented in 1827, but I keep stopping to research the issues. So I hope it gets better.

    Meh

I adore Julia Quinn and all the other Bridgerton novels, but not so much with this one. Gregory was pretty annoying and immature throughout the whole thing and that kind of ruined it for me.

    Absolutely Wonderful!

-Favorite out of the series. Gregory is the most realistic brother; the one most like someone today. His story might actually happen. He's admiral that he is more of a bare-bones character, where he just has his family to his name and not a bag of money and authority-he doesn't have everything making him who he is at the beginning like his brothers and sisters did. He's a raw character and he figured out what he wanted to do with his life-On The Way to the Wedding.

    Wonderful conclusion

Oh, how I adore the Bridgertons! Admittedly though, this book and It's In His Kiss had been sitting on my bookshelf for several months because I couldn't get around the idea the two youngest were actually now grown up! Especially Gregory for me considering he was first introduced in The Duke and I when he was only 13. But JQ makes his transition from a boy to a man completely perfect. Gregory is just oh-so-romantic and endearing that it more than makes up for the take-it-or-leave-it plotline. Starts out a bit slow but I really liked the prologue and it gave me think the story even more romantic. I was disappointed that most of the Bridgertons didn't make their way into the story though.

Did these books get worse the more she wrote?

When I started reading this series, I was always waiting in anticipation for the next installment, but found that as the series got longer and longer, the stories became duller and duller. Just because you have readers, doesn't mean they will purchase all your books, this is one I definitely will avoid.

A magnificent finale to the Bridgerton series!!!

I must admit I was not immediately drawn to the plot. I only read it because I was compelled to complete he Bridgerton novels. However, within the first chapter I was completely drawn into the characters and their emotions. I felt what they were feeling, and it was amazing.I felt the brush of passion that Gregory and Hermione described. I understood the practicality of Lucy. It was also wonderful to have such real characters. I never imagined a poignant heroine with a touch of OCD. It made her more more than just a two dimensional character. The plot was also full of surprises that were carefully orchestrated, instead of just thrown in haphazardly. Quinn controlled this storyline and I was completely sucked into every moment. I never expected what would happen and I hung onto every sentence waiting to see how these lovers could possibly end up together.

    not her best effort

I usually enjoy Julia Quinn's books. This book was not memorable. The characters were witty at times but had no real chemistry. She has written more entertaining dialogue in the past. I somehow feel that this book and the previous two Bridgerton novels had lackluster plots and it felt somewhat forced in an effort to complete the series.

    mixed feelings

there was too much time wasted on his loving hermione, and he was way too shallow. there was no real spark between gregory and lucy, and when she threw them together it was rushed. there was no real build up and no real cliff hanging moment. no matter how romantic the guy was in the end, it didn't feel real. I did like the book, i just had some issues with it

    sweet but stupid

I love julia quinn, but this book was just silly. I mean ,yes, there was a great sense of humor in it like always , which i love , but the story lacked credibility.I did not see how they fell in love with each other. And then i started to feel like gregory was acting like Romeo, going from one woman to the next, which was kind of annoying. And why couldn't he realize hermonie and him didn't suit each other from the begining since she hardly talked to him and didn't make him laugh. It seemed like he only realized it when he had to. And the whole story also seemed kind of rushed , especialy when gregory realized that he loved lucy--that whole part did not make any sense! I would have liked him to realize that he loved her when he was talking to her and enjoying her company, not when he saw a beautiful women , wondered who she was , thought to him self 'Im in love' and suddenly noticed it was lucy and thought to himself ' oh it was lucy all along whom i loved' Could he not realize that before? He seems kind of shallow, like her beauty finally trigered his love for her. He has very BAD TIMING!!!

    The Most Romantic Bridgerton

This book made my day. I devoured the book in a couple of hours and was so captured with the love Gregory and Lucy had for each other. Gregory is by far the most romantic out of all his brothers. Great finale to the Bridgertons. Bravo Julia Quinn Bravo!
