    Buenisimo!!!

    Muy buen libro,como todos los libros de este gran escritor.
    Definitivamente vale la pena leer Once Minutos.

    ClĂ­max literario de una prostituta

    Once Minutos, de Paulo Coelho, es una novela que empieza con la sensualidad casi inocente de una jóven que deja su pueblo del interior de Brasil y alcanza su clímax en Ginebra, Suiza, donde va a parar la protagonista en busca de fama, fortuna y amor. Es una obra de narrativa adulta. Maria (así sin acento, sin apellido) toma la prostitución como oficio para sobrevivir en tierra de extraños. Deshaciendo estereotipos, sedienta de saber y desconocedora del amor verdadero, va explorando partes de su alma vacía, mientras trabaja duro, ahorra dinero y se educa en cómo correr una empresa cuando regrese a Brasil. De vacilante, ingenua y vulnerable, pronto Maria se convierte en una inteligente, analizadora y calculadora mujer a una edad temprana. Al conocer de cerca la soledad y los solitarios de Ginebra, se va conociendo a sí misma. A principio, atraída hacia el pasado con sed de venganza,decide vivir el presente cuando conoce a un hombre, que le hace sentir que el sexo es más que un ritual ancestral y que puede elevarse a algo casi divino. El escritor agarra de varios recursos literarios que contribuyen a que el lector siga la lectura y se obligue a continuarla. Es lineal, directa, sin digresiones. Para segmentar la narrativa Coelho presenta pasajes del diario escrito por la protagonista, que nos introduce a la otra Maria. A veces con elevados pensamientos. No solo Maria tiene talento para ganarse la vida como prostituta, sino que también lo tiene como escritora. Nos dice: 'el arte del sexo es el arte de controlar el descontrol.' Y más adelante:'la vida es corta o demasiado larga para que yo pueda permitirme el lujo de vivirla tan mal.' Maria descubre el gozo de la sexualidad más allá del ritual ancestral y de la rutina del placer pagado, y lo describe en un clímax literario. Coelho nos ayuda con su prosa a explorar y acercarnos a entender, desafiar y desechar los mitos de la heterosexualidad: el miedo a quedar mal, el desconocer el cuerpo del sexo opuesto, su funcionabilidad. Coelho conduce al lector a creer que Maria desviará su curso, y para ello le presenta posibilidades, interrogantes, caminos bifurcados por los que su vida y la narración pueden encaminarse. El final es, lógicamente, inesperado.
