I loved the author's imagination, she had some of the most origional characters I've read in a long time. The book was light but kept me from putting it down. I had to see how it was going to end. If you read to escape the ordinary and laugh then this is a great book for you. It's a satire on corporate America but done so well you keep forgetting that and focus on the well told story. I hope she writes more like this.

Original

Fun skewering of some of the ridiculousness that goes on at work. I could relate to all of it. Clever, original and funny.

    Glad I read it

I almost wasn't going to read it based on the reviews...but i'm glad i did. I thought it had a basic plot and very imaginative. It did end somewhat abruptly but it wasn't a weird ending; it was natural given the circumstances of the story. It wasn't as long as it seemed either. I got a little freaked out thinking it was 1407 pages. But for every time i tapped forward on the screen, the page count advanced about 3-4 pages. So it really wasn't that terribly long. If you don't like perfect formatting then you might have a problem with this book--the formatting was a bit tricky to get in sync with. But overall it was an entertaining book-it reminded me of The Office tv show.

    Different!

It took me a while to decide whether or not I liked this book, but over all I did. It was sometimes hard to remember that it was meant to be a critique of the business world...I think!

    Word Wise

Satire at its best. Good understanding of company characters and company politics (wonder whose company window the author was peeking through.)

Never Take A Job Too Seriously

This book was an unexpected laugh. Many in this economy will understand the struggle of finding a decent paying job. The quirks of the Big Top will amuse you. Everyone has a task in their job that they deem ridiculous or silly. This book reminded me to not take my job too seriously and laugh from time to time.

The characters are charming and the culture interesting. The book does end suddenly, but sometimes companies end abruptly. This is a great free book that gives a great laugh.
