Excellent basics
This equals any other book I've read as a general introduction to Buddhism. Staightforward writing covers the core topics in a readable style. While I've been reading on Buddhism for several years through many authors, I'm now on my third reading of One Dharma. I find it always good to spend time thinking on the basics and this is one of only a handful of books I use for this purpose.
