    Great lecture

This was very good and informative. Professor Peters gives a very informed lecture without any religious preaching. He just tells you the facts about the different religions and how they are related. You'll learn thing about the the other religions and probably about your own religion. His voice is very clear and easy to listen to and he style of lecture is easy to follow. Very, very good.

Outstanding introduction to the 3 religions

This was a fantastic course, much better than I expected: clear, informative, balanced, and enjoyable. As a moderate Muslim, I found it to be neither excessively apologetic nor critical. Peters exhibits an admirable scholarly independence and objectivity. I also learned a great deal about Judaism and Christianity.

    An Excellent Primer

This course is a wonderful introduction to comparitive religion and has been the inspiration for me to pick up many of the other 'Portable Professor' series. Though I would have preferred a little more detailed information (especially on Islam) Dr. Peters does provide enough information to allow the independant scholar to move forward and read on thier own. Also the recommendation of Dr. Peters of the book 'The Meaning of the Glorious Koran' by Mohammed Pickthall was an excellent reccomendation and I greatly appreciate it. All an all a very good lecture and a very good series
