Beatrice and Cecilia Brent don’t come from a titled family but their father has made his fortunes as a mill owner. The Countess of Haven has agreed to sponsor the twins and decided to get them adjusted to the ton by hosting a house party. Beatrice is attracted to Lord Jessup Pennistan, a man surrounded by scandal. Even though her father and the countess both warn her off Lord Jessup, Beatrice finds herself engulfed in scandal as well...a scandal that could destroy both her and her sister’s debut into society before it even begins. Was this review helpful? One More Kiss immerses you into the daily politics and intrigue of a post Napoleon England. This is a very detailed and slow growing story. Verbal banter and social niceties prevail prominent in this plot. An enjoyable, easy, entertaining, historical romantic read, One More Kiss is a great way to spend your day.
