Dr. Carson, being a black man, understands racial divide. Being a surgeon at the top of his field, and sitting on the Board of one of the nation's most prestigious hospitals, he understands success by genuine accomplishment. Coming from a background of poverty, he understands adversity, and how to overcome it. And as a doctor, he understands healthcare better than any politician. Being a successin his own right, who has been so generous over the years, having set up a foundation with his own money, to provide funding and education fro disadvantaged kids, he undertsnads what it means to give generously. Needed the approval of no one, he understands the need to speak freely without fear of being bullied by those who oppose him, and see fro Policail Correctness for what it is: speaking in a way to gain political advantage, by withholding those thoughts that might come under attack. He recognizes that to be politically correct, one must first be a coward, caving to the bullies that try to tramp out with insults and scorn, anyone who resists being forced against their will to comply with the will of the elite. Dr. Carson most resembles in mind, spirit and dedicated success, those great and wise men, who first drafted, and signed, the Founding Documents of the greatest nation on God's green earth. His books have proven to be a breath of fresh air, in a world polluted with bogtry and small-mindedness, wanting freedom for anyone who complies with their demdnas and the extermination of anyone who proves inconveneient to their aim. God bless again, as He has obviously done so already, the good work of a great man.

i chose three stars arbitrarily, and no, this is not a review. It is a rebuke of those (now including me) who post their opinions in the guise of a review. I now plan to purchase and read this book because of the closed-mindedness of those who denigrate this work without bothering to read it. Take the time to engage the thoughts and concepts, don't just dismiss them uncritically as conservative or liberal rehashing. That's being lazy and taking cheap shots. Whether Dr. Carson works for Fox News or MSNBC has nothing to do with the merit of his ideas and proposals.

How can it be a "review" if you admit that you haven't

How can it be a "review" if you admit that you haven't read the book? The opinions posted need to be taken down from the review section, since it's not a review of the book. Not at all helpful
