The 1970's NY club scene..........L.A. style!!

This CD is essential listening for fans of pre-new wave power pop from the 1970's, as well as anyone looking to explore the music of that era. The Nerves imploded before they ever released a full album, but their legend and influence remains intact. Their credibility extends beyond "Hanging on the Telephone" (a Nerves original made famous by Blondie), over to the many great songs they penned during their brief time together. It doesn't hurt that this band also launched the career of Peter Case, first as a member of the Plimsouls and then as a solo artist.

Get this CD and enjoy some lost classic music from a bygone era.

Long Lost Power Pop classic returns!

The Nerves were the great should've beens of the LA Powerpop scene. Originators of the classic single, "Hanging on the Telephone," later fameously coverd by Blondie, The Nerves burnt out before they could build an audiance, or release a proper album. This collection is the closest we will ever get to a Nerves album. Buy it, and hear what could've been. This collection of singles, demos, and live tracks is pure power pop bliss.
