I paid full price for this book, and it was well worth it. There are so many cute and practical projects and all can be completed with one yard of fabric and a few basic notions. I often flip through this book as inspiration for other projects, too, because there are so many different ideas in here. From storage solutions (totes, laundry bags, organizers) to kids/pet clothes and accessories to cuddlely animals, I have already created many different projects in this book.

I think that you should have some sewing knowledge before attempting many of these projects because there is only a page or two of instructions for each. Although there is a section in the front with good explanations and tips about sewing, I found myself briefly confused with a few projects (I consider myself a novice) The instructions just aren't as detailed as I've seen in other books/patterns, but if you have some sewing knowledge and can visualize a finished product, this book offers fantastic value.

Cute idea, but doesn't live up to potential

I consider myself an intermediate sewer. I've been sewing for close to 20 years now, primarily clothing items. I got given this book as a gift, and was pretty excited when I first saw it, but as I flipped through the ideas, I was actually really disappointed. There are almost no fresh ideas in the book, and a lot of them I wouldn't even (personal opinion) consider useful. Most of the patterns I could free-hand draft myself without much problem and in not much time. I can see this being a good idea book for beginners (although, remembering back to my beginner years, the instructions wouldn't have been anywhere CLOSE to detailed enough for me to complete the projects) but I just don't think it's worth the cost for anyone outside the beginner category. So, I give props to the authors for a solid idea, but the book just doesn't live up to the potential it has.

    Great Book for Beginners

I bought this book to teach my daughter how to sew. We work on the projects together and she thought they were very easy to understand. I would recommend this book for beginners. The instructions are very easy to follow and walk you thru every step of the process. My daughter thought it was great. She likes to sew now.

A perfect resource for helping you use up your stash of fabric.

A lot of interesting projects. Great designs. I've already made one of the projects and the instructions were easy to follow with the help of useful illustrations.

    One Yard Wonders

Though there are many projects in this book that can be found elsewhere, it is nice to have all of them in one place. Great stash-buster projects. My one complaint is that there is no need for another apron pattern - I think that we've seen enough of these! Great ideas for gift-giving
