Wasn't sure at first, but then I couldn't put it down

At first it seemed like another book about a woman scorned but, I was pleasantly surprised to watch how she manages to find strength and pull herself out of the mess, and finally realizing who SHE was without her husband. Women really are the strongest of creation.

Terrible .  Poor writing, poor character and plot development.

Terrible .  Poor writing, poor character and plot development.   Kept hoping it would get better; sadly, it only got worse.

    Boring

This book was so boring I couldn't even finish it. I kept thinking I'll give it a few more pages, then I finally gave up around page 125. DON'T BOTHER

    Depressing Divorcee Novel

This is a very boring novel about a woman who gets divorced who doesnt have much of a personality. There are few deep insights, a couple of good sentences here and there, but the plot drags and it was an effort to finish it.

NOT THE BEST BOOK IN THE WORLD

when i first started reading this book, it was kinda boring, but then it got better. later on, it gets boring again and the situation in the book is pretty dumb. the main character, samantha, is obviously desperate for love. all i have to say to her is 'GET A LIFE!!!!!' her son, travis, was acting way too mature for an eleven year old; her friend rita is a pain in the butt; david, samantha's ex husband is a loser for leaving in the first place without a reason (what kind of an excuse is 'things weren't working out between the two of us' to get a divorce); and king, lets not even go there. i've read other books that are part of the Oprah edition and this one is by far the worst.

    Don't waste your time!!

This is arguably the worst book I have ever read. The characters were not well developed. I didn't like any of them. The title character was weak. Her mother was a nag. Her best friend was a *itch. Her husband was a dog. Her son was selfish. Her male friend was not real. Her young tenant needed psychiatric help. I can't believe I spent my hard earned money and my very precious time on this poorly written book. If I could give it less than one star I would. In fact I think I should get a few stars myself for finishing it.

    Disappointing!

I was so disappointed in this book. It was totally predictable, with no surprises and no complex storyline. There was nothing meaningful or life-affirming about the novel. It was the story of a woman rebuilding her life after a divorce. However, the novel just seemed to log the woman's day-to-day life in a monotonous manner. Also, I could not bring myself to like the main character. She was so weak, fragile, and pathetic, that I could not relate to her in any way. I wanted to like her, but instead, I found myself feeling disgusted by her. This book was quite a let-down. 100% pure boring fluff.
