Mr. Ramos makes a compelling statement.

Mr. Jorge Ramos, one of the most influential and prominent Latinos of our time, has served as a powerfull voice for the undocumented latino immigrant through his book The other face of America. Mr. Ramos tactfully delivers the importance of the presence of the latino immigrant, America's dependancy on them, and how they will help shape and mold our (America) future. From stabalizing the economy through cheap labor, to serving as nannies to parents apart of coorperate America's workforce, or adding a unique cultural blend to a country that is comprised of immigrants, Jorge Ramos uses these points among others to help validate the worth and value of the Latino immigrant's presence in the United States.

Ramos Makes a Case for Latino Immigration

I enjoyed reading the book. It contains excellent information regarding the mistreatment of ethnic groups in general. However, I felt that it was very repetitious. Ramos makes his point, and makes it, and makes it over again

The best book I ever read...

The Other Face of America was one of the best books I've read in a long time! Once I started reading it I couldn't put it down. This book inspired me and made me see that Mexicans are very hard workers. This book also helped me understand the many struggles and hardships that families go through when they attempt to cross the border. A lot the the stories made me sad because there's nothing I can do to make things right. If only I could help some people cross the border... Despite the sad stories, there were also many funny chapters. I liked the one about Spanglish and the Mexican presidant in the year 2059. I recommed this to people who support their culture and want to know more about it.
