I bought the Nook Tablet version and found it to be very good, especially for the special at 49 Cents. If you're a fan, check often because they always have Free books or Specials for the Nook. This cookbook has no photos, only drawings. The Nook Tablet version has 96 pages, with an interactive recipe Index at the back. However, if you tap the bottom of your Tablet and tap CONTENTS, you get an interactive listing. Most of the recipes can be made any time of the year, they're not limited to Halloween, But there are a few for Halloween parties and dinners. The recipes are broken down as follows: Appetizers.....16. Beverages......4. Cookies and Candy.....18. Desserts.....8. Main Dishes.....9. Salads and Soups.....7. As always with Gooseberry Patch cookbooks, quite a few of the recipes are traditional ones that can be found online. I had Butterscotch Haystacks 20 years ago. Who hasn't made Popcorn Balls or Rice Crisp Treats? Well, they're repeated here. Most recipes are given Halloween type names to make them unique. I'm not complaining much about this one because of the low cost and I found some recipes I can use, like Wailing Wassail..... and the Fall Harvest Cake made with pumpkin, nutmeg and pecans among other spices.

    Horrible Nook Format

Glad I only paid 49 cents for this book. It has a horrible Nook format. Don't waste your money.

    Great books!

Love Gooseberry Patch! I often find they offer free or low cost cookbooks. If you like their Facebook page, they post alerts about these special deals.
