The Book I Have Been Looking For
When a person begins Quaker research, it is assumed that the Quakers kept great records and that it is easy to trace them through The Encyclopedia of American Quaker Genealogy by Hinshaw. Yes, these volumes are a great beginning. However, they are abstacts of the original records. And Hinshaw did not complete abstracts for all the meetings.
This book is the key to finding where the original records are kept and/or microfilmed.
Because of this book, I was able to find the Ohio Quaker Meeting that my ancestors attended and review the original documents at the Ohio State Archives where they have been mirofilmed. These original records gave me more information than I had been able to obtain anywhere else.
