So, so

Not as good as the first one. There was simply too much angst and teenage drama to make the reading enjoyable. Jake may have been an a$$ in the first half of the previous book, but here he redeemed himself and some more. He deserved a medal for patience and forgiveness....
Not as good as the first one. There was simply too much angst and teenage drama to make the reading enjoyable. Jake may have been an a$$ in the first half of the previous book, but here he redeemed himself and some more. He deserved a medal for patience and forgiveness. My God, what she put him through. I honestly could not stand her. Chapter after chapter stretching the hurt because of her stupid and immature actions. Please, grow up. I just did not find her excuses relatable or justified, even for a 21 year old. As if this was not enough, the author overdramatized the scenes even more. It really left me unsettled. And she kept going back and forth from the present to a past that was just a few months past, making it really confusing. I had high hopes for the epilogue, which could have been used to compensate for all the drama, but it was short and unfullfilling. It left the story somehow incomplete. I imagine the author was sicken tired of all the drama as well and could not wait to end it. Such a disappointment.
