A classic song revived by a voice like no other; art that makes your heart sing too

Beautifully illustrated, and accompanied with a CD of three songs sung by Judy Collins, this book will re-introduce this song to a new generation of children. Especially thrilling is to read and hear the beginning of the original song, not commonly known since it did not appear in The Wizard of Oz.
A beautiful gift for any child to inspire dreams...

Highly recommended for yourself and for gift-giving

My teen years were filled with the beautiful inspiration of Judy Collins' voice - and she still has it! And who doesn't love the hopeful outlook of Yip Harburg's lyrics? If you want to share a beautiful female voice singing words of hope with the new generation, the is the book and recording for you. I bought 1 for myself and 1 for my cousin's granddaughters. I look forward to buying more for young people, as they come into my life.

MaxfieldParrish meets Judy Garland and the Wizard of Oz

Oh, this book is so beautiful -- all about yearning and wishing to be free... to be somewhere over the rainbow. I loved this film so much and Judy Garland so much. I didn't know I loved Maxfield Parrish so much. These paintings seem as if they were painted for this song and I know they weren't. This is a gift that I will give many times, I suspect. The reproductions are also so beautiful. I guess you could call it an artbook.
