Good technical info, poor English
The author is obviously very knowledgeable, and knows what he's talking about. He doesn't dumb down his presentation for beginners, which is good when you're an expert user looking for more detailed information. Unfortunately, the book suffers from poor English -- spelling, grammar, and sentence structure -- poor enough that it occasionally gets in the way of the technical information and drops the book from five to three stars. The editor at McGraw-Hill was involved in a serious accident, and several people pitched in to help in her absence; that might have been part of the problem. The book is still worth buying for the technical content, enough that I've bought other books by the author. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
