    Be careful when reading

I recently took the test and passed. This book was the only book that I purchased to prepare for the test. The answers to a few of the problems were wrong and the book does not give examples of Tangent line problems. If you are a mathematician at heart. This book will make you weep on how poorly constructed the formulas are presented to the reader. I would prefer to try a different book that gives you a better over view of the test and gives example problems of every kind of problem. However, this book does give good definitions of the mathematical terminology.

    Helpful, but...

I ordered this book about 6 weeks before I had to take the test. It gives you a timeline in the beginning of the book for a suggested 8 week study plan. I glanced over it and started working on the first couple of chapters. Life got in the way and I didn't really look at it too much more until a couple of days before the test. I knew how to do everything that I had reviewed up to that point so I wasn't too worried. I sat down and began really studying the day before the test. As I got into the later chapters of the book, I started to get worried. I really didn't do any of this stuff in middle school (junior high), but more like senior high and some in college. I had myself all worked up before going to the test. When I got there and actually started the test, I was soooo relieved because it was nowhere near as hard as the study guide made it out to be. Don't get me wrong, if you don't know much math, or weren't a fan of it, then you'll definitely need to study. But this book just made me worry more than I actually needed to.

    Lots of mistakes

There are too many mistakes. Formulas written incorrectly, some answers to practice exams are wrong. Be careful when using this book.
